Moving Beyond the King of Pop

So the king of pop has moved on to greener pastures. We have now lost Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson in less than one week. It seems the old wives tale that these things come in 3’s has come true in this case.

The big question though is will the media continue to frenzy over the death of the Thriller legend, or will they focus on the real issues that are affecting millions of people today. Currently there is the deteriorating social/government state in Iran, an aggressive North Korean government, the genocide in Darfur, U.S. health care reform, the state of our economy… these are the real stories. While we are touched by the passing of icons, let us not forget the real news.

I wish the media, Gretchwn Carlson, notwithstanding, would concentrate on the important and less on such as this fellow who danced like a robot [ Fred Astair notwithstanding]!
Events in Afghanistan and Sichuan Province are very more important. Health care and energy are very more important. Even,Farrah Fawcett was more important.
We need to get the media to stop their rationalization of the absurd as important!
