Ale Can't Stop Chronicles

What would any company be without its amazing team members? Here at AdAction, we’ve developed a team of incredible people who use their unique qualities and strengths to make their own impact on the business. This team of innovative individuals is part of what makes AdAction different from other companies, coming together to push the business to its full potential.

Who are these people, you ask? We’re going to introduce them to you in our series Can’t Stop Chronicles, to help put a face to the driving force behind our “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” motto. For our next spotlight we got to know a little more about Alejandra Troncoso, Manager of Developer Relations, and her three plus years with the company.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I work with app and website developers who want to monetize their product. The first thing I do when I get in is look over performance from the previous day and compare to days prior. That means looking for any new changes and where they’re coming from, new campaigns and publishers that went live, or any changes in traffic. Then I evaluate publishers’ apps and websites to see what else we can be doing to maximize their revenue. I provide regular support for my publishers, whether they have a question or if they need help with anything. In addition, I collaborate with the Demand team and provide insight on publishers who would be a good fit for a campaign they want to launch. I also work with the Product team to brainstorm new updates or features that would be great for our publishers.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I’m a big nerd, so I really enjoy finding things within the numbers. I like looking at data and having that “aha!” moment where you find a new opportunity or you understand why something happened. I love when I get to work with publishers one-on-one to help them grow their revenue. There’s nothing better than seeing the direct results of your work.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned in the past 3 years?

Keep learning. I feel like anytime you think you know something, there’s more to learn. I’m always looking to expand my knowledge and my skill set. Never think you’re too good to learn something.

Favorite memory from work?

There are so many. I like the day-to-day memories, like when we start roasting each other or when we find time for “Mario Kart” and some friendly competition in the middle of the day. My top memory would have to be my first staff retreat when we went to Palm Springs. I didn’t know what to expect and was shocked at all the activities they had planned for us, like racing BMWs and just being in that super rambunctious environment with the entire company.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I enjoy finding time for painting, dancing, and cooking. I love trying new restaurants and giving my friends recommendations. Anytime there’s a new spot open in Austin, I try to check it out. I also like taking my dog to the park or on hikes.

What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?

I have two. One: I was a year away from becoming a petroleum engineer in college. I realized that wasn’t what I wanted to do and switched my major to advertising. I had so many credits that I basically have an unintentional minor in math. Two: I have a 130 pound Rottweiler. Most people don’t expect this short, little girl to have such a massive dog.

What is your guilty pleasure?

I definitely have a weakness for brunch food, but my main guilty pleasures are any combination of carbs and cheese, wine, and lazy Sundays in pajamas.

What’s something a ton of people are obsessed with, but you just don’t get the point of?

I’m not a huge “sports person.” I couldn’t care less.

Do you have a go-to karaoke song?

I don’t have a go-to song, but I would probably sing something by Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears, or the Backstreet Boys.
