What would any company be without its amazing team members? At AdAction, we’ve developed a group of incredible people who bring their own unique qualities and strengths to the table. This team of innovative individuals is part of what makes us different from other companies, coming together to push the business to its full potential.

Who are these people, you ask? We’re going to introduce them to you in our series – Can’t Stop Chronicles – to help put a face to the driving force behind our “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” motto. For this spotlight, we sat down with Denver’s almost two-year veteran, Brooks Hurbis, Senior Manager of Business Development.

Brooks’ Day to Day

I reach out to app developers and prospect new clients to work with us. My daily duties consist of taking sales calls, communicating with clients, and traveling to trade shows. I mostly work with my clients, but internally I work closely with Client Services and Account Management.

How Has Your Career Grown at AdAction?

I think moving from brand to agency side was an interesting transition for me. Working across multiple apps has given me more industry knowledge. It has made me savvier than being focused solely on one brand or vertical.

What’s a Common Question You Get from Clients?

“What differentiates AdAction from other partners?” I answer by stressing our quality of traffic and compliance tool. I also advise them that they’ll each have a dedicated account manager to work with and ensures their campaign is successful.

What Is Your Favorite Part of the Job?

The people I work with every day who make coming into the office fun. Everyone is smart, talented, and always willing to help. They’re a great resource.

When she’s not crushing it on the client side, Brooks also contributes insights, information on industry trends, and ideas to our content marketing team.

How Do You Keep a Healthy Work-Life Balance?

Being able to shut off and take time for myself after work by exploring passions outside of the office and making sure I’m using those vacation days to log off fully. I actually just got back from a two-week trip to Cape Town, South Africa. Brooks fulfills work-life balance outside of the office by staying active and running her own personal training business. I like hiking, and I try to do a new trail every weekend in the summer.

If Any Activity Could be an Olympic Sport, What Would You Medal In?

Grocery shopping or drinking wine.

What’s Something Most People Don’t Know About You?

I hate ketchup. I’ve always hated it, and I’ve retried other foods that I didn’t like growing up. But it’s still the one I won’t touch.

What Movie or TV Universe Would You Want to Live In?

 Friends, 100%. It’s my all-time favorite show.

Favorite Friday Playlist Song?

I love Drake’s “Make Me Proud” or “Money to Blow.” It just gets me fired up for the weekend. Sometimes I even listen to it before sales calls.
