Thirteen years ago, AdAction started with an idea.
Not in a boardroom.
Not from a pitch deck.
And definitely not from a corporate playbook.
The idea for AdAction was born from a conversation at a hot dog stand, where Founder and CEO Brian Fox began thinking about a bigger opportunity within digital advertising and mobile growth.
At the time, the mobile ecosystem looked completely different than it does today. User acquisition was still evolving, rewarded experiences were in their infancy, and few companies were thinking about engagement, loyalty, and monetization as connected ecosystems.
Brian saw where the industry was headed early.
More importantly, he built AdAction with the belief that lasting companies are created through relationships, adaptability, and people who genuinely care about building something meaningful together.
That mindset became the foundation of AdAction.
“When we started AdAction, the goal was never just to build another advertising company. We wanted to build something adaptable, something that could evolve alongside the industry while staying focused on real partnerships and long-term value. Thirteen years later, that mindset still drives everything we do.”
— Brian Fox, Founder & CEO
What started as a bootstrapped performance marketing company has evolved into a business helping brands rethink how they acquire users, monetize engagement, and create real value exchange experiences across mobile ecosystems.
And 13 years later, that evolution is still accelerating.
Built to Evolve
One of the biggest reasons AdAction has reached this milestone is simple: we’ve never stayed still.
The adtech industry has gone through massive shifts over the last decade. Platform changes, privacy updates, attribution challenges, changing consumer behavior, economic cycles, and entirely new business models have reshaped the market multiple times over.
Many companies struggled to adapt.
AdAction leaned into it.
Over the years, we evolved from a traditional mobile performance company into something much larger: a business focused on creating measurable, opt-in engagement between brands and consumers.
Today, that vision powers everything we do.
From helping gaming studios acquire high-intent users, to enabling loyalty ecosystems to drive incremental revenue, to building rewarded experiences that create stronger engagement between transactions, AdAction has continuously expanded alongside the market.
Not by chasing trends.
By recognizing where consumer behavior was already going.
That ability to evolve without losing our identity has become one of the defining characteristics of our company.
The People Behind AdAction

Technology matters.
Strategy matters.
Innovation matters.
But the real story behind AdAction has always been the people.
One of the most unique things about this company is how many employees have grown alongside the business over the years. People have stepped into leadership roles, built entirely new functions, expanded beyond their original responsibilities, and helped shape the company into what it is today.
There’s a level of trust, ownership, and collaboration here that feels rare in today’s environment.
That culture starts from the top.
Brian has always believed in hiring great people, empowering them to think independently, and creating an environment where employees can genuinely grow. That philosophy helped build a culture that still feels entrepreneurial, ambitious, and deeply collaborative, even as the company has scaled.
“One of the things I’m most proud of is how much this company has evolved without losing the culture that made it special in the first place. We’ve grown tremendously over the years, but we still operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, move quickly, and genuinely care about building together.”
— Max Shill, COO
We move fast.
We challenge ideas.
We adapt quickly.
And we genuinely care about each other’s success.
That culture has become one of the biggest competitive advantages AdAction has.
Where We’re Headed
As the industry continues evolving, we believe the future belongs to value-driven engagement.
Consumers expect more from brands than passive advertising. Brands want deeper engagement, stronger retention, and measurable business outcomes. Loyalty ecosystems are searching for new ways to create meaningful interactions between transactions.
That is exactly where AdAction is headed.
We believe value exchange will continue becoming one of the most important pillars across mobile growth, loyalty, monetization, and retail media.
Not interruption-based experiences.
Not low-intent engagement.
Real participation driven by clear consumer value.
Over the last several years, we’ve continued investing in technology, partnerships, and products that support that vision. And while the industry continues changing rapidly, our core philosophy remains the same:
Create experiences where everyone wins.
The consumer.
The brand.
The ecosystem.
“Sustainable growth has always been incredibly important to us. The industry changes constantly, but our focus has remained the same: build a business with strong relationships, strong fundamentals, and the ability to evolve for the long term.”
— Kevin Fox, CFO
13 Years In and Still Building

But the most exciting part is that it still feels like we’re early.

From performance marketing roots to becoming a leader in value exchange and rewarded engagement, AdAction’s story has always been defined by evolution, resilience, and the people behind it.
To every employee, partner, client, publisher, and friend who has been part of this journey: thank you.
You helped build AdAction into what it is today.
And we’re just getting started.
